Dr. Steve McIntyre

Dr. Steve McIntyre is our "Papa Familius" because he's the founder of our practice. He has been a well respected dentist in this community for over forty years. He graduated from South Georgia College in 1964 and Emory University School of Dentistry in 1968. Over the last four decades he has seen dentistry evolve and has embraced its changes. Dr. McIntyre uses the latest technology while maintaining his old school code of ethics. He has influenced seven other young people to become successful dentists by being a good mentor and a positive role model. Many of our patients have been with us since the beginning of Dr. McIntyre's career. We can honestly say that he has patients from five to one hundred years of age, and if you ask them why they would want to see Dr. McIntyre they will tell you this: "He has never hurt me and he cares about me." What more can you say? Don't be surprised to find him behind the controls of his favorite toy, his big Caterpillar bulldozer, when he's not here at the office. He calls this diesel therapy and it seems to work pretty well. He's one of the hardest working dentists you'll ever meet.

Dr. Leah Cook

Dr. Leah Cook is our super women! She is a true hometown lady with a love for local folks, and just happens to be Dr. McIntyre’s daughter. After attending The University of Georgia she went straight into dental school at the Medical College of Georgia graduating in 1996. She is an enthusiast of children’s dental health and is a chairperson in the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Leah is one of the main organizers for the statewide campaign for Children’s Dental Health Education. She is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honor society that is by invitation only to a select few outstanding doctors in the United States. The best way to sum up Dr. Leah (as she’s known in our office) would be a tiny lady with a huge heart. She has a way of calming her patients and gaining their trust. She is extremely careful and attentive to every detail of treatment. Dr. Leah is an outspoken voice in the race to find a cure for breast cancer and heads our Relay for Life team each year. In her spare time you might see her volunteering at her children's school; playing soccer with her twins, Anna and Samuel; climbing hills on her dirt bike; or even backpacking up a mountain in Colorado. She does it all; Mom, Wife, Volunteer, Professional, Advocate, SUPER WOMAN!!!

Dr. Hank Cook

Dr. Hank Cook is a local familiar face. He has deep roots in this community. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991 and the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. He is a very active member of the Georgia Dental Association, the Southwest District Dental Society, the International College of Dentists and is also an invited member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Cook has a big heart for children, serving as a volunteer for the Rural Smiles Dental Clinic and has participated in “Give Kids a Smile” day for the last several years. He is a true professional and is continually taking dental education courses to stay on top of his game. Dr. Cook values the trust that his patients have in him and believes in giving them the very best treatment he can provide. He has expressed that he knows how hard people work in this community, and that they can go anywhere for their dental needs. He considers it an honor to be their choice. In his time away from the office you may catch him in the great outdoors with his eight year old twins, Anna and Samuel, and his wife, Dr. Leah Cook. The Cooks are active members at First Baptist Church and enjoy giving back to the community. Amazingly, he still finds time to squeeze some Georgia games into his busy schedule during football season. GO DAWGS!!
